The newest Mazda CX-30, appeared before a world audience on the catwalks of the spring international Geneva Motor Show on March 5, 2019 but it considers as one of the 2020 new car model. The platform inherited from the passenger Mazda 3 and completely repeats its layout. Mazda 2020 has a front transverse arrangement of the power unit, which doesn’t exclude the use of an all-wheel drive system.
Trunk size is average by the standards of this segment. With the backs of the second row of seats raised and loading under the window line, the car will be able to provide up to 430 liters of free space. The loading height of the luggage compartment is 731 mm, and the opening width is 1030 mm. For an additional fee, the fifth door can be equipped with an electric drive.
Specifications
For the Mazda CX-30, the manufacturer has prepared a wide list of powertrains. The base is a 1.5-liter inline atmospheric Skyactiv gasoline four. It produces 120 horsepower and has already been installed on the Mazda 3. As an alternative, you can order a more efficient motor.
The car is offered with the new 150-horsepower Skyactiv-G 2.0 engine and the M Hybrid system, an improved i-Activ AWD all-wheel drive, which works in conjunction with the G-Vectoring Control Plus (GVC Plus) vehicle motion control system. According to the results of Euro NCAP tests, the Mazda CX-30 crossover earned and showed an all-time record score of 37.6 for safety (99% of 100%), moving the Volvo XC90 and XC60 off the pedestal. The new model 2020 is presented in 4 versions:
